Police seek public's help in identifying Amityville robber

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who robbed an Amityville store in December 2017.

 A man with a gun robbed Broadway Beverage, located at 560 Broadway, at 5:21 p.m. on December 13. The suspect took cash from the register and fled westbound on Maple Drive, first on foot, then in the passenger side of a dark SUV. The suspect is described as a black male in his late teens or early 20s, with a thin build, approximately 5 foot 8 inches tall, who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants with white stripes, black and white Nike Air Force 1 shoes, a black mask, and black gloves.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
