NOTICE IS HEREBY
GIVEN, that a
resolution was duly
adopted by the Board
of Fire Commissioners
of the COPIAGUE
FIRE DISTRICT, Town
of Babylon, County of
Suffolk, State of New
York, on the 14th day of
February, 2018, subject to
a permissive referendum
as provided for by Section
6( g) of the General
Municipal Law.
An extract of the
resolution is as follows:
The COPIAGUE FIRE
DISTRICT maintains a
Buildings, Furnishings
and Equipment Reserve
Fund under Section 6(g)
of the General Municipal
Law in which account
there is sufficient funds to
accomplish the purpose
hereinafter set forth;
namely, the payment of
architectural, engineering,
surveying and other fees
associated with the bond
project for improvements
to fire station parking
lots and acquisition of
equipment for fire station,
and it is proposed to
contract for such work,
in order to maintain
the high standards of
the COPIAGUE FIRE
DEPARTMENT in the
discharge of its duties in

preserving the lives and
property of the residents
of the community and said
work is deemed in the best
interests of the residents
of the COPIAGUE FIRE
DISTRICT. The resolution
further provides that
there be transferred
from the present
Building, Furnishing and
Equipment Reserve Fund
of the COPIAGUE FIRE
DISTRICT a sum not to
exceed One Hundred Fifty
Thousand ($150,000.00)
Dollars for said work, and
the District Treasurer is
authorized to effect such
transfer from time to time
to effect such work. Any
funds expended for the
bond issue project shall
be reimbursed from bond
proceeds.
This resolution shall not
take effect until thirty
(30) days unless in the
meanwhile a mandatory
referendum as provided
for by the General
Municipal Law is required
to be held.

New York, on the 14th day
of February, 2018, subject
to a permissive referendum

6(g) of the General Municipal Law.
An extract of the resolution
is as follows:
The COPIAGUE FIRE
DISTRICT maintains a
Buildings, Furnishings and
Equipment Reserve Fund
under Section 6(g) of the
General Municipal Law in
which account there is sufficient funds to accomplish
the purpose hereinafter set
forth; namely, interior renovations to Fire Headquarters
and Station 1 and purchase
of smart boards, and it is
proposed to contract for
such work, in order to maintain the high standards of the
COPIAGUE FIRE DEPARTMENT in the discharge of its
duties in preserving the lives
and property of the residents
of the community and said
work is deemed in the best
interests of the residents
